Your concealed-AC test notebook

Hi Saad. This page will walk you through safe observations of your assembly. You can skip a reading if you do not have the instrument. At the end, you'll review everything, download your report, and email it to Sid yourself.

Expected time: 15–25 minutes
No technical files requested

1. Before we begin

Safety first. This is a visual and measurement checklist, not a repair or refrigerant-handling procedure.

1 / 7
If ice or freezing is present now: switch cooling OFF and do not continue running the system for this test. Do not chip ice, open refrigerant lines, remove energized covers or reach near fans. Arrange a qualified HVAC technician if freezing persists, water leaks, burning smells, electrical faults or unusual noises occur. You can still complete this report from past observations.

What we understand from the call

You described a concealed assembly approximately 85 × 16 × 60 cm with a TCL plastic fan → cooling coil → EC tangential fan layout. You also reported freezing around the rear pipe/coil area. These are starting notes for you to confirm, not a diagnosis.

TCL plastic fan→Coil→EC tangential fan

The exact TCL model, dimension orientation, airflow direction, and freezing location remain unverified.

No meter? That's fine. Answer the questions you know, mark readings as unavailable, and share only non-confidential photos or cloud links. Useful answers are better than guessed numbers.

2. Identify the unit and yourself

Start with simple facts. Use the label on the air conditioner, if safely visible.

2 / 7
If the unit model isn't easy to read, skip it. Please do not remove covers or reach inside the housing to obtain it.

3. Freezing and how the unit behaves

Describe what happens, in everyday terms. We are not assuming that airflow alone causes the freezing.

3 / 7
Several conditions can contribute to icing, including restricted airflow, refrigerant-system faults, controls and low-load operating conditions. These observations help choose the next safe diagnostic step. They do not prove a cause or authorize refrigerant work.

4. Cabinet, fans and openings

A sketch or simple measurement is enough. We only need visible dimensions and known components.

4 / 7

Confirm the reported assembly dimensions

From the call: 85 × 16 × 60 cm. Please confirm which measurement means width, height and depth. No need to dismantle anything.

Visible grille openings, if measurable

Measure the open grille opening from the room side. The percentage open is an estimate only, not a certified free-area value.

—Supply estimated free area
—Return estimated free area
—Area ratio / notes
Do not operate the unit with protective panels removed if doing so would expose moving fans, wiring, an unsupported panel or other hazards.

5. Easy measurements (only if safe)

Use readings you already have or can take safely. It's fine to leave fields blank. No need to buy instruments just for this form.

5 / 7
Freeze present? Do not restart cooling to collect numbers. Share observations and request a qualified HVAC technician to assess the refrigeration system. Never remove a safety enclosure to measure airflow.

How to measure

  1. Choose the same cooling mode and fan setting when comparing observations, only if the system is currently safe to operate.
  2. Use a room thermometer away from the grille, roughly at occupant height. Note return-air and supply-air temperatures only where safely accessible.
  3. For airflow, a vane anemometer at the room-side grille can provide an approximate comparison. Record where and how readings were taken.
  4. With a phone sound meter, compare readings at the same place and distance. Treat differences as indicative, not certified measurements.

An open-panel comparison is optional and technician-only, if the OEM setup and moving parts remain safely enclosed.

Comparative airflow and noise (optional)

Only enter directly measured, comparable values. The panel-off condition is not required and must only be used when a qualified professional confirms it is safe.

—Return minus room (°C)
—Indicative airflow change
—Sound change (dB)

These comparisons are indicative and cannot diagnose refrigerant faults or certify cooling performance.

6. Share visual evidence safely

Upload photos or short videos to your own cloud account, then paste links here. Do not upload files into this page.

What would help Sid understand?

  1. Outside view: the wall/panel and visible supply/return openings.
  2. Safe, existing image: fan/coil arrangement or a non-confidential hand sketch. Do not remove powered covers.
  3. Symptom: an existing photo of frost/icing, condensation, or a short video of abnormal noise, if captured safely.

In Drive, OneDrive or similar, share as Viewer to sid@techmcadvisory.com. Avoid public-link access if private sharing is available.

Please do not send confidential designs yet. CAD, PCB files, patent drafts, proprietary manufacturing drawings, trade secrets, customer data and personal identification documents should wait until a suitable NDA/NNN is executed. The initial report is a non-confidential diagnostic intake.

7. Optional technical review & consent

You can share your measurements without purchasing anything. This step simply lets you tell Sid how you'd like to proceed.

Optional next step: technical review

US $290

A separately agreed, paid engineering assessment of your test evidence and concealed-AC concept. This form is not an order or contract. Sid will confirm written scope and confidentiality terms before payment or protected-file exchange.

If you later engage TechMC on manufacturing, the $290 review fee is credited against TechMC's buyer-side manufacturing commission, as agreed in writing. This does not reduce third-party factory invoices.

How this page handles your answers

This single-page form processes answers locally in your browser. It does not upload the entries or cloud links to a TechMC database or automatically send email. When you download and email the report, your email and cloud providers process what you choose to share. Standard web hosting may retain access logs (including IP addresses), and we do not claim otherwise.

TechMC will use the report only to assess your inquiry and discuss next steps, not for public case studies or third-party marketing without separate permission. No unconditional confidentiality agreement is created by this form. Confidential IP is requested only after a signed NDA/NNN or other suitable agreement.

Next: review every answer first. Then we'll ask you to confirm once more before creating your downloadable report. Nothing is sent automatically.
